Janine Benyus gives us a good look inside nature to show that some of our most challenging and dangerous problems can be solved by just paying attention to nature.  Organisms have found ways to manufacture, recycle, and destroy in ways that are simple and use much less energy then our current ways.  I was very entertained with this video I hope you enjoy it and take away as much inspiration as I did.

This short video(4.5 minutes) is from the TED2008 conference and gives us an amazing albeit scary look at how absolutely full of crap our current news media is. Take a look I think you’ll be quite surprised as I was.

Those of you who are thinking “Well, HA! Jason I get my news from Google” or some other online news outlet you’re gonna love the last minute or so of this video. Basically the whole premise boils down to it is cheaper to cover Britney Spears then put news headquarters in third world countries. (more…)

Inspiring video: Paul Stamets on how mushrooms could help save the earth.

I’ve never knew how powerful mushrooms were until this video by Paul Stamets at TED 2008. I mean I’ve heard they’ve found that some mushrooms or even some bacteria will eat away nuclear waste, but besides that these life forms can actually help reverse some of the damage we’ve done to the planet. They’ve actually got a lot more to do with life in the forest then we previously knew and with that knowledge I think regeneration can happen a lot faster and easier then before.
