Flock is a pretty well known social web browser based on Mozilla. Recently it placed 1st place at SXSW in the community category. On April 22nd, 2008 the team at Flock will be taking a step in the right direction and will release an Eco-Edition of their now famous browser. Completely integrating major green sites like Treehugger , Grist and many more blogs and green communities into the browsing experience. To top it off they’ll be giving 10% of the proceeds that come from users like us searching in the search window at the top right of the browser to environmental programs.

Tools like this make it possible for everyone to get involved, learn more about the environmental issues we’re facing and even contribute to programs by creating income for Flock. If you do a lot of searching and messing around on the net you’ll be helping environmental programs get funding through Flock. You will also have a pretty slick and creative browser that helps you get the newest green news from some of the best green blogs and communities on the internet. So, why not? I’ll be switching tomorrow and I hope you consider switching too.

UtahLuxury.com: While I didn’t make it out to any festivities it was a great day and a lot of awareness and knowledge was spread around today. I’ve seen it all over the net. I hope you had a great day.
