How would you feel if you made the effort to do your part for recycling and still 240,000 tons of paper, glass, and plastic that you separated and placed in the proper bins were being tossed into landfills or burned?  That’s just whats happening across the pond (always wanted to say that) to Britons who take the time to do their part in the recycling process.  It seems the government is going to have to work with local councils to get the problem fixed and come up with a better system of fetching and recycling the items.   According to the Local Government Environmental board that 240,000 tons was only about 1.6% of the total recyclable material collected.  That is such a small percentage I wonder why it was let through to the dumps.Source: Recycling material “being dumped as landfill”
